Split In Two
England
As the carriage wheels click down the cobble road
Five tall hats stand alone with a horse drawn carriage
Night lanterns placed on both sides and glass windows
With a somber look the driver leads this funeral parade
In one of the years in eighteen this took place in England
My Great, Great grandmother was buried there
United States
In Oregon the year was 1882 the other half of me built this home
Pictures from long ago guns in hand upon a horse
Great, Great Grandpa sat and as I sit and wonder about my family
These pictures amaze me in that I have two countries
Inside of me
