Choka
The most intricate Japanese Poetry form, the Choka, or Long Poem. The early form consisted of a series of Katuata joined together. This gives a choice of form structures of ..... 5 - 7 - 7 - 5 - 7 - 7.. etc, or .. 5 - 7 - 5 - 5 - 7 - 5.. etc.
Adventure awaits
in the pages of a book,
where you can ride a dragon
or explore the moon.
Feel wind under your wings,
and fly high amongst the clouds.
Imagination
inks a plethora of words
that are tethered to your dreams.
And at your leisure;
by simply turning the page,
reality's whisked away.
Curiosity
allows inquisitive minds,
to explore fun fantasies.
And expose the truths
of hidden treasures buried
within a quagmire of lies.
Sensual stories
cater to romantic hearts
suffering from loneliness.
Delivering dreams
to the farthest shores of love,
sailing up rivers of hope.
Magical journeys
and splendiferous stories,
are tightly bound together
between each cover;
just waiting to be opened
so their telling can begin.
