Spiders Lunch
dragonfly clings
suspended in disbelief
stops struggling
for he can feel the strength of the ties getting stronger
with each thrust and turn
Spider smells lunch
Something tasty, large,
a grasshopper or a bumblebee perhaps
dragonfly sighs
sticky substance stronger every second
like quicksand, it gets mightier
with each movement
must be the work of golden silk orb weaver
Spider makes her way
Toward the web
smacking her lips
dragonfly waits for her fate
as greedy hungry predator
approaches from the south
excited about her juicy lunch
