Song of the Heart
Cheering me sweetly for a wondrous start
Propelling pursuits with moments gracious
The Lord along instilled hymn of the heart
Keeps assuring me His love, indeed precious.
My soul praises Christ Who makes me rejoice
In His constant compassion’s freedom-flow
“I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice…”
Keeps reverberating with mercy’s glow.
Blest by God’s wondrous pardon assurance
“And it told Thy love to me” verily
I abide in His will’s peace endurance
Revived always to serve Him willingly.
Enjoying sweet relationship with God
“I long to rise in the arms of faith” now
Yearning for His presence and shepherd rod
Blissfully fulfilling my service-vow.
Beseeching for triumphant stewardship
While molded toward Christ-like behavior
I pray during worship and fellowship
To “…be closer drawn to Thee,” my Saviour.
Grateful for divine song*, so inspiring
Secured heart of mine finds peace in God’s breast
With spirit fervently persevering
For best eternal ministerial rest.
Indeed, “I am Thine, O Lord” uplifts me
Amidst message bringing sublime delight
Penned by hymn writer, Fanny J. Crosby
Who always expressed God’s great loving might.
*Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
