Somewhere You Are - (For Esther)

Somewhere you are a shining star Before the lens of strangers' telescope A new scion of the god of war The reason for the father At the end of the dangling rope He did not want it like this anyway So little of our life is plan And so much is fate A plan brings souls to meet their destiny Set already by inexorable fate That made the gulf between The two of you Though in his heart you are always seen As a special, and intervening star.
