Something To Get Excited About
I have found something new to get excited about,
That I feel the need to shout about,
That is as old as the hills,
That should reduce our bills,
With less meetings with the manager at the bank,
And avoiding the need for joining the Que at the food bank.
I am talking about,
The preserving more of the perishable food we have lying about,
That I can give a new lease of of life,
Something to keep me out of strife,
As I look for something else to turn into jam,
That will keep us out of a financial jam.
When my daughter learned what I was on about,
She too was looking at what preserving was all about,
Now between the two of us,
We can preserve without much fuss,
With books a plenty to give us a tip,
On what else we should not tip.
The more I learn what it is about,
The more I am looking about,
For what else is edible,
I can put on the table,
That will entice you to save,
What we have learned to save.
