Something Real
We taught each other such patience,
after all why become a spoil sport?
Little things create big moments,
every day together feels too short;
Accepted that nothing’s perfect,
but fairy tales can still come true;
Looked inside and saw a wildflower,
I think you saw a bit of that in me too;
Flooding the cracks of a bleeding heart,
you gave sustenance to my garden bed;
Understanding what feeds a fantasy,
something real is what grew instead.
