Original poem Grief – posted on 04/21/21 Like April showers her tears suddenly started f a l l i n g then they quickly dried We hugged and we talked and we cried and cried some more then … there was laughter as we reminisced and remembered the happy times we once shared Rewritten for contest as Joy Our tears of laughter were f a l l i n g like a sudden April shower they ran down our faces in r i v u l e t s we had planned his demise so meticulously …. When the ice stiletto pierced his heart All the evidence melted away At the end of the day We had committed the perfect crime! WoW! Jan, This is so well written and very creative. I wasn't expecting that ending at all, and it is most definitely a winner, in my opinion. Best wishes in the contest-Alexis

Well Jan, you know me, I am sure you know the comedian Jimmy Carr, so to take a line from his play book, I have to tell you there are rules, I don't make the rules, but there you have it, they are there, and so there you go, I prefer the first version, is very well written, any English speaking person would say so! ha!!
