Something and nothing
I'll write all of my poems
to the spinning whirl
within which I begin
translation into being
cajoled again to try
for unmarred existence
tip of tongue unpoisoned
whites of eyes unwritten on
no residual embedding of fear
stacked into my bones
take this shallow breath
shadowed mind, leaden self
let it wear away
shed layer upon time
time upon layer
unravel and undo
until I'm a welcome arrival
at the reverse of the beginning
prior to the weight
of all there was to come
guide me and thee by my scrawled hand
