Someone of Significance
You came into my life
As someone with a bit of everything
I ever wanted and needed.
You sat next to me
And I wasn’t too sure what to think,
All I knew was that I had to open up a little to you.
You approached me sincerely, randomly:
Which is the way I prefer people
To befriend me if they so choose to do.
You became someone of significance,
Something about you felt like a reminder
Of what a side of me is like exactly.
You listened to me,
I knew you were willing to,
Even when you were looking at a screen.
You were in my life
As someone who is understanding,
We were close in a vague sense.
You assured me that you know the feeling,
That you can save me and
With you I’ll never have to feel alone again.
You became someone I consider a true friend,
Something about you felt like a reminder
Of the maturity grown from loneliness.
You were there to be my friend,
As someone who can try to change my life,
Truly you have influenced and infatuated me.
You embraced who I was, for who I am,
But my bad feelings were foolish,
Causing the consequence of seeing why I swiftly lose.
You are a mix of good karma rewarded to me,
I was given what I wanted to experience,
You were so close to being something so much more for me.
