Some of the Same
I've been shot,
I've been stabbed
I've been kicked,
I've been grabbed
I've been tossed,
I've been bounced
I've been beaten,
I've been trounced
I've been jailed,
I've been assailed
I've been cursed,
I've been mocked
Yet I never knew
I was on the tick-tock
I've had a lot of bad things
happen to me
But I've had a lot of good things
happen too
And I'm certain some of the same things
give you flashback
Because some of the same things
have happened to you
We have to take the good with the bad,
we have to thank God and be glad
That He always had us on the watch,
that He always had us on the clock
All of those times we never knew
we were living on the tick-tock
