Actually, for a change of pace, we had a cedar Christmas tree this year...instead of a traditional pine. We are lucky to live near Lassen Volcanic Park, where they issue permits to cut trees...it helps the forest replenish itself. Our tree was a little hard to decorate, but so lovely, with it's lacey branches. We also have one growing in our yard, by the childrens play area. Smells wonderful! ~ Carrie
