Solitude
Watch last light fall here by the lake,
Silhouettes grace deep murky flow;
Stray moments call to glimpse new take,
Cool breeze moves pace as night lights glow.
Eyes strain to see as dark hurls here,
Distant dreams float away in streams;
Stars twinkle free like diamond spheres,
There are no boats to ferry dreams.
Solitude speaks a stillness clear,
Choice in calm style can show me how;
Deep silence seeks peace that owns cheer,
I feel a smile charm my walk now.
No need for voice or fancy thought,
Breath echoes poise as joy primes plot.
