Solitude - Silence Is Golden

Susannah sits savoring the silence snuggled sleepily on the settee enjoying espresso and eating éclairs - she needed some space and solitude, twins, the ‘terrible twos’ are so taxing! Her husband’s taken Hannah and Holly to a party at Pirate Pete’s play park. 04/01/21

You make this look incredibly easy. Trixie is jealous, sticking out her tongue but I am clapping for you.

Hello Jan ... we all need that little piece of quiet time Jan. Kids being full of energy don't seem to appreciate that - Lindsay

Hi Jan, What a good entry for the contest. I didn't have twins, but I remember those terrible twos, and they were taxing. Best wishes in the contest:-) Alexis

Sucking the cream out of éclairs is a talent which may result in twins - and exhaustion! Aloha! Rico

I can relate to the need for a rest, Jan. A wonderful alliteration poem with some delicious imagery. Solitude is never sweeter that when hubby takes the exhausting tots out for the afternoon, except if it's solitude with espresso and éclairs! :) Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I can almost hear Susannah slowly exhale, while pushing her slippers off of each foot with the other and enjoying the fact that the silence tastes even better than the eclairs... AND I LOVE ECLAIRS. Good write Jan. Terry
