Sojourn Here
(Dedication: In memory of my late parents Simon and Eng-Neo who loved me.)
So, here we come
Now once again
To live, to sum
Life clear and plain.
As we go round
In sacred flight,
We touch new grounds
Within the light.
Watch soul progress,
Embody form
With zeal, with zest...
To niche new norms.
This play of wind
Upon the stairs
Of earthly scenes,
Of textured air.
Here round and round,
We move and dance;
A love-song found
In choice and chance.
Free as we come,
Freely we go...
As splendour sums
Our ebb and flow.
For truth and light
Now bear the blows
Of sense and sight:
Glimpse soul's own glow!
Love speaks to all
With gentle grace --
To heed the call,
To bless each face.
Now embrace cheer
Despite harsh grief;
Our sojourn here
Is time set brief.
