SOFT

A soft sound is gentle as falling snow that rests for a moment in a tall pine as whispers of breeze urge it on below to begin a softly sculpted design A summer dusk with lavender shadows that soften and gentle a stone pathway or, tall grass and flowers in the meadows softly nodding in breeze at end of day Soft music filling the air soothing souls As day offers her brightest charms to night and stars softly appear, fulfilling roles of lighting the skies along with moonlight Softly spoken words can cool anger's heat and cause mellower thoughts to now appear soft is baby's skin, smelling fresh and sweet Soft is holding a lonely person near.

There is an air of delicacy, calmness and tranquility that runs through each of your stanzas Ann. I particularly like your final stanza. Your poem serves as a 'time-out' from the noise and bluster of the modern world. Good to read you back at The Soup. Cheers - Gary

Thank you so much, Gary! I forgot one soft: soft vanilla ice cream on freshly-baked, warm apple pie. Yum! Wish I had some right now :) I appreciate your comments, Gary. Take care.
