So Many Writers

There are so many people who tell me I am a writer. Someday I am going to write something. Two of them come into my office sometimes and eat lunch Talking incessantly at my back as I am typing up the day’s poems. Neither has asked me what I am typing. Neither interested in the least. I think it insanely funny. And a bit ironic right?

I think writing to some and sharing it, is personal. Sharing one's thoughts is not the same as making a table or a meal. It is more intrinsic, deeper. I think it is tougher than being a public speaker, because you are sharing part of yourself

once you put it on paper, or screen there for others to share and be seen then you're a writer that much is true write what you feel, and write what you do keep on writing Caren, you are good, and forget those who don't ask. your friend roger

Thank you Roger. I try to encourage the others, but they have to BEGIN. I am not sure where their fear is.

I think we are all writers, some write on paper others on the wall of their minds...I guess that why they chatter all the time...

That is probably it. When I point out all the times they could be writing - waiting for their son's 2 hour dance class for example, they always have an excuse "why this would not work." I write in the car sometimes when I am waiting for a meeting. I have notebooks everywhere or at least a napkin. Tissues are awful for this.
