Cancer stole her husband; life isn’t fair Susie walks to the church where they’d got wed Orange blossoms braided in her fair hair Thoughts of his love will always fill her head Susie walks to the church where they’d got wed Silent tears fall from her pretty blue eyes Thoughts of his love will always fill her head Her broken heart she can never disguise Silent tears fall from her pretty blue eyes She remembers her recent wedding day Her broken heart she can never disguise White gardenias were in her bouquet She remembers her recent wedding day Orange blossoms braided in her fair hair White gardenias were in her bouquet Cancer stole her husband; life isn’t fair 06~02~17 Rhyme battle round 7 Contest Sponsored by Juli-Michelle

excellent Jan, I had to check as the repetition flowed so smoothly......Sadly the truth of this poem is all too real for all to many...

Thanks so much for the lovely comment John:-) i do enjoy this form but it is quite a challenge to get it to flow well and I also like to use the lines verbatim although I do know you can alter them a little I prefer to do it that way:-) hugs Jan xx

It sure does Joseph but if it wasn't for my husband's cancer I would never have written my first poem so for me something good came out of it:-) hugs Jan xx
