This is pure poetry, John. (I know; it's supposed to be -- but it truly is). Right into my FAVES. Thank you, Gershon

Excellent job on this. Have you seen my baseball FOOTLES? I think you could do a better job. I had to research terms I never heard of. I am only a neophyte on baseball Pangie xx

Thanks, Jan. The more I read you and Tom and Panagiota doing footles, and Jennifer's short lines, and then the "Threes, Please" contest, I've been trying more of these short line writes. It's fun trying something new. Thanks for the comment.

oh I was wondering. what....? and then I saw how snow was underneath and then it made complete sense. Awesome ending on an awesome poem. Not really nature, more philosophical. GREAT job (I used an oldie in my files, that sonnet you just saw)

Glad you sorted it out. You're right, it's more about relationship than about nature. I enjoy beginning those writes with an observation about nature, then transitioning to a philosophical conclusion.

I used to live in 'the desert plain' but now I know more of snow than I'd like! - but I enjoy the metaphor of the mystery of snow to the mystery of the hidden heart, best wishes for the contest~

You know San Diego terrain pretty well. It's only snowed here once in my life, and by the time I woke up and went outside, it was melted away. But we do have some memories of taking our kids into the mountains to frolic in a winter wonderland. Thank you for the kind comment.
