Snow Quilt
Snow does gently kiss the ground,
lays as powdered silk, all around.
Sprinkled upon the scrub and Heather.
Collecting on the manes and withers,
of wild horses, high in the pass,
nibbling upon the winter rye grass.
The sun now sinks behind the rocks.
Listen carefully, here the snow talk.
A peaceful "hush" is whispered by all,
gently, as each flake does fall.
Snow now falls faster, in its haste,
to lay a quilt of white cold lace.
As horses now settle for the night,
around them spreads a breathtaking sight.
Moons glow casts an ethereal radiance,
affording magic, to its majestic audience.
