Snow, My Beloved

I walk in the empty park where winter twilight is dense and full and the sky falls to a shadow as trees and ground blend ebbing into vagueness . . . . The path is wet under my feet and little frills of ice adorn things crystalline and frosty and filigree then, suddenly air is full of snowflakes snow has come to be my beloved . . . I am left breathless and wanting with snow floating among the hanging trees and I feel his sweet silent kiss upon my hair, my cheek and my ruby lips as I stand still in his loving embrace . . . My world is quiet and tranquil, waiting with my beloved whispering snow drifting, floating, wrapping his arms and I whisper, snow I love you knowing sadly he will leave me . . . __________________________ November 24, 2012 Poetry/Verse/Snow, My Beloved Copyright Protected, ID 11-1006-152-24 All Rights Reserved, 2012, Constance La France
