Smudging

Congratulations on your third place win in my contest. I would prefer your last line to be an another one, though, in order to be more striking. The last line's content has to be the star of any poem.

As you put four lines in the first two stanzas, you could cut out the last (fifth line) of the third stanza, leaving "Ethereal spirits set free". That would be an excellent last line.

Oh Line I was there in the moment. If I close my eyes i can see the circle gathered around the fire waiting to drum. The smudging is an invitation to the dreamtime created by he mother's heart beat. Thank you so much for reminding me with such fine words.
