Smiling In Dawn's Desires
Smiling in dawn’s desires
Gently resting
on morning glory visions
climbing up a weathered fence post,
strong and sturdy
Clinging vines and barbed wire…
blue lace dreams greet the sun
And as you arise from your slumber
smiling in dawn’s desires,
blooming before my waiting eyes,
I find that the fragrance of the day
quietly whispers…
“Good morning”
