Sleepy Bird

Flustered feathers laying over a nest of twigs Calm and at ease with the dance of the wind Hair sways from every gust Most would envy such a sight A bird at rest Seemingly forever at peace Nothing disturbs her And the leaves fall The branch shakes The nest is decaying But alas So is the bird Such beauty given To a subtle and sad sight An eternal rest For an everlasting night

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
