Oh! a poem about the Texas heat wave. The Haiku and photo are a great match, Sara. You really write good Haikus! A poet friend in the next room, Bill

Got that one correct. It must be August or June or July in parts of the world. Thanks for sharing this creative one. Sara

Ah the heat of summer i can feel strongly as i read this. Such a beautifully written haiku. Three profound lines that vividly described the blazing sun.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my haiku. I wrote it yesterday after being outside in the hot Texas sun. The temps have been 100+ for 26 days straight. Everything is parched, including me :-) Ready for fall.

We pray for it till it comes, and then we pray for rain. Then when winter comes in, we pray for sunshine. We're not a happy lot are we.

You're so right, Paul! I dread winter. The day the severe cold arrives, I yearn for the hot, languid days of summer. Thanks for stopping by and reading my poem. Enjoy your day, Sara
