I've been a victim of rape and sexual assault. I have the battle scars. So I just wanted to let you know, you're not alone. <3 xo
Listen to poem:
Vs1) Each wound I have suffered in my life so far Has taken so long to form a battle scar But what doesn't kill me, they say, will make me stronger still And every wound I suffer will eventually heal Pre-chorus: This is the silent language of scars You can read my soul like Braille And for each sad story, for every sad tale There are thousands that can't be seen Because, like you, most of my scars, Are inside of me Chorus:* A sisterhood of Scars Making us who we are You become a sister of ours With every wound And every battle scar A sisterhood of Scars oh oh oh… Vs2) She was just trying to get home After working hard all day Just because she walked alone That man marked her as prey. And another who was only eight years old Had her precious innocence shattered And got the first wound on her soul Pre-chorus: Every scar I have is unique Even though too many suffer From The very same things And none of them were free! Each one earned through battle Then a victory! Oh oh oh… Chorus:* A sisterhood of Scars Making us who we are You become a sister of ours With every wound And battle scar A sisterhood of Scars Bridge: My fellow warriors, My sister's of the spear! Sing this song out loud! Because someone needs to hear Maybe they think they're not strong But unlike some, This strengths not in our arms! It comes from with in, from our higher power and when… …we realize we aren't alone, no not forgotten; The wounds we have cannot spoil our soul rotten. They form scars that make us tough, Make us strong enough, To go on…don't give up! Let's hold our sisters up!

So sorry about your experiences Crystol. This is a powerful anthem and the chorus soars. Some day soon scars will disappear from our hearts and minds - Isaiah 65:17

Thank you Constance. This is my words, my melody, but no I'm not playing the instruments or singing. Performance is not a talent of mine lol. I've been asking bands and singers to make a demo of this for over a year to no avail.

So I found this app that you can enter your lyrics, record your melody, and describe the emotions, mood, etc and it creates a demo complete with music and vocal! This, i think, is where AI is a help not a hindrance. So many song writers don't have the ability to create a demo of their songs and no connections with those who can. Xo

Dear Crystol...This is such a powerful and deeply moving piece—not just in words but in delivery. The audio brings a raw emotional strength that lingers long after listening. "A Sisterhood of Scars" is more than a song… it’s an anthem for every woman who’s fought silent battles and still stands tall. Thank you for giving voice to pain, healing, and unity in such a brave and beautiful way. ...Hugs
