Singing To the Dog

My daughter wrote a song about the dog So I've told the dog how special it is To have a song written about him I sing songs to him all the time With his name in But a song written at the piano by a pure heart is a very beautiful thing He appears to be going about his day But I know when he's sang to he's comforted and his little head goes to one side as he listens intently It would be wonderful if our little dog understood all the kind words said to him But in-between the moments of almost understanding He again worries his world will fall away Because how life starts affects the ability to feel safe and at ease forever
