How I love singing songs in the rain
with my big red umbrella held high
and my thick rubber boots buckled up
splashing puddles while I'm walking by.
The bright sun sleeps behind a big cloud
while the raindrops fall down on the ground.
All the plants are so thirsty and dry,
and I'm glad that the rain came around.
And I sing that I'm happy today
as the rain makes our walk really clean,
while the flowers grow up nice and tall,
and the grass becomes soft, sparkling green.
I don't tell the rain please go away-
cause I like watching it as it falls.
My umbrella keeps me nice and dry.
I'll stay out till my dear Mommy calls!
