Last night I wrote poems with my tinyest girl She informed me how each line should be The pride she felt in what she created It's so beautiful to view what her eyes see Then we sang alternative lines of a song Harmonised gently as we went along I recorded the moment knowing it's priceless to me My beautiful babies, open my eyes, just be It's raining this morning, so I taught a dance routine Sang in the rain before I'm embarrassing has been Possibly viewed as slightly strange But that's musical numbers, impromptu refrain I'm writing this now as I walk to work Determined to stop feeling loneliness hurt My brain just too busy to entertain I need to continue to dance in the rain

Dancing in the rain is a beautiful trait of free-spirited people. A way of thinking that says, “I don’t care what others think of me. This makes me happy.” Be proud to dance in the rain, Dilly, as much as you are of your sweet tiny one.

Our children never forget special times with us. I remember several with my parents, all the way back to when I was only four. Be late for work. She’s more important.

I hope she remembers all the fun we have walking to school and that I don't get too embroiled in the fact I'm usually late for work because we don't leave the house on time... it was lovely focussing on connection last night and this morning. We do that anyway but I felt I noticed more today x
