Simplicity
As my mind flows through
the dark mysteries of self,
in conflict, I raise the flag
of defeat,
for the lost years
bring sorrow untold.
Still, kindly given
are the years that
melt through my fingers,
ever lighting the way
to deeper truth,
And I cannot be
but humbled
to succumb
to ancient knowledge.
These memes of
disjointed tongues,
ever seeking to
devise ways to
befuddle simplicity.
