silent studies
with a stabilised sky
I can watch the world turn
where the blurs of the cars
and shooting stars
collect in my mind
smoothing over scars
creation of and in orbs
of earth and eye
and brain
inputs unending
do not allow for catching up
or staying sane
a call for stillness
let it play out like ballet
I want no place to be
on the starry night
of a well lived day
allowed to rest
knowing
it's deducted
from my time
it's hard to focus
on what may be best
as I stagger
from chaos
to very nearly rhyme
order is called for
I'm in the 'disapproved of' mire
what is order
...if it steals zest and desire
no matter my notions
and ideas
the earth still turns
my time runs on self doubt
and on one of these rotations
it
will
all
have
run
out.
