Silent Garden
The beautiful roses died long ago
As their fragrance so timeless lingers on
Though each rose fell in yesterdays I know
They left a memory I look upon
Deep in my soul is a silent garden
Of wishes and flowers kept in the heart
They died when the soil dried and harden
To turn red petals brown and torn apart
A wish, there were fewer stones in the ground
To give life to blooms to blossom fully
And covet roses with more fervor found
To not watch them fade away slowly
These petals of roses drifted away
The time of their leaving the saddest day
