Silent Blessings
Crisp morning air tingles my cheeks
as I prepare for my morning walk the
dawn begins to peak.
The feel of winter is in the air
but the birds they seem to
have not a care.
The frozen pathway gives way with
a crunch and the grey pigeons search
for a early morning brunch.
Coffee brewed fills my senses
as people sip on it, on the park
benches.
Peaceful and siren the day begins
as the sun slowly warms the tree's
tipped ends.
The ice slowly melts to twinkling raindrops
watering tenderly the colorful tulips
sleeping tops.
What a wonderful day it will be
just seeing all the silent blessings
God has gave unto you and me.
