Silence

I sit in silence, lost in my thoughts, On the couch, the TV plays on. Words on the screen leave marks on my skin, Like a pencil on paper, a tale yet to be drawn. Conversing with characters as if they're my friends, I was dreaming up scenarios in my head. Wondering about a life beyond this stillness, I'm yearning for excitement instead. But reality keeps me rooted in place, Yet, I remain in a silent space.
