Shrink to Patient
Sir, the fact that you’re unsure
of who you are, or why,
and you think the world’s
not far from ending,
and your wife, allegedly,
is having an affair with a teenager,
and you’re in doubt about
your own sexuality –
still, with all that against you,
I’d say your neurosis
is sound and healthy.
As for your state of mind,
I have the gravest of doubts.
