Ships In the Distance

Gazing out upon the waters I see ships in the distance They are far off Yet they are in the range of my sight Wonder who is piloting these ships and wondering why they are passing my way The sea is calm today and the bright winter sun is reflected in its waters The ships move slowly across the horizon They are headed for foreign shores I am tempted to board one But they are far away So, I watch them from my place on the shore and take a marvelous imaginary journey The best kind of journey - don't you think?

yes, sometimes we see something like a ship and let our thoughts drift. .. just like this, Matt!! Isn't it a shame that poets like Sara Teasdale are no longer appreciated?

Matthew!! Like the ocean and ship vibe you have going on here!! But I think I'd rather board a ship...a tall ship with square sails...;) well done. Big Hugggs. Deb
