Shelly Gorde

(small revision made line two to make all syllables equal for lines 1, 2 and 5)

A sweet homemaker named Shelly Gorde

with her laundry and cleaning was bored.

She imagined a beach

with a sea within reach.

Rode her ironing board like surfboard.

Isn’t it frustrating that sometimes a Limerick reads better with a slightly out of kilter syllable count. I don’t know what change you made, but I bet you prefer the original. It happens to me all the time. Terry

Still laughing; what an imagination, never thought of an ironing board being a surf board but it does have a similar shape.

Enjoyed! In Waikiki, everything is possible! Almost any day of the week, you will see someone surfing on a McDonald's breakfast tray . . . .Aloha!

Love it! Best of luck in contest. I think ironing boards would made terrific surfboards...but don't take the iron...and please, if you do, remember to unplug it -- shark teeth are very sensitive to current.

LOL Andrea. I had a neighbor walk in one time while I was ironing. She studied it for a moment and then asked, "What's that?" A joke of course, and made me smile. I didn't think to tell her it was a surfboard! Very clever! Linda

I just watched a short clip of Russian soldiers helping a Ukranian mother With many children relocate it seems ' so a Slight shift of presentation, but war its a Complete disaster, I once went to a military Air Show and a large bomber roared low above us.i sensed an evilness then it was announced it Had been in active service the crowd was cheering I just wanted to get away which I did '
