A Tribute to Jan Allison. Mirror, tell me who is the rightful limerick queen There is a poetess, the most humorous I've seen She's the one called Jan Funniest in the land Reading her humour is like feasting on fine cuisine Her limericks make me laugh til I rupture my spleen and I wonder what she imbibes from her canteen She swears she doesn't drink So now I've begun to think It must be something she got from an inherent gene

Indeed she does Lin, wonderful tribute to a beautiful person, I've only known her a few months but feel I've known her for years. She introduced me to limericks and has inspired many I've done. She has a great sense of humour that will brighten your day. Tom

Thank you for the thoughtful remarks, Tom. Jan and I have been friends for a couple of years and we've shared many rungs on the friendship ladder. Her humour may only be surpassed by her qualities of justice and loyalty.

Hi Lin, This is a fitting tribute to Jan. I would have to gree , Jan is the limerick Queen. Her limericks always make me laugh and brighten up my day. With all the madness in the world laughter is just what the doctor ordered. I see she loved it as well. It was so nice of you to write this in honor of her:-) Alexis

Thanks, Alexis. She pops them out as quickly as she can uncap her pen! You're correct in writing that there's a need for more laughter in the world. and while I'm writing you, I want to say thanks for still reading and commenting on my poetry. I'm not here often, but I love to see the thoughts of those I admire here.

lol Lin I am so flattered by your poem!!! I do try and make people smile with my silly poems and i rarely drink alcohol BUT that final line is spooky as my aunt and uncle both wrote funny poems and many of them are limericks and my mum says she wrote poems sadly I've never ever seen them, so it must be genetic but it took my hubbies cancer surgery for me to finally pic up my pen and unleash my wit on the world lol:-) hugs jan xx

You're so very welcome, Jan. I didn't write this as a form of flattery, although it's rightfully deserved. I wrote it in limerick form for the purpose of polishing your crown. ;-)
