She Stepped Lightly

She stepped lightly
Amid the golden reeds
Glowing, this nymph of
Riparian leisure --
Barefoot and scantily
Covered breasts, whose
Jutting pavilions twice
Blessed swayed and
Swelled as the marsh
Tried breathe, exhaled even
Deeper saturating its own boggy
Savors, fixated then
Upon her naked thighs
Exposed for the silk
Curtain had parted revealed
Luscious droplets clinging, slipping,
Slippery sliding my heart a slush
Of primitive desire --

Just a poem, Joe; imagination. Even as a very young man, loved poetry. My young friends would come to me to write a poem they could give to a girl they were infatuated with to whom they wanted to endear themselves. I was a 60's Cyrano. I Thought Walter Benton's "This Is My Beloved" was some of the most sensually beautiful poetry I had ever read. Never saw anything wrong with such expression. Wonderfully Human.

I didn't think prayers would get me a date...should have tried... She was enchanting. Thank you, Joe; just messing around. A different write, recalling my youthful primitive.

The ending!! How passionate and soulfully sensuous! I love a sensual poem that is romantic and has so much desire and attraction woven in a poetic manner! Yours do that effortlessly dear Joe! Beautiful flow and choice of words too through and through! Pleasure reading ~ Sending you light always

Sensuous and seductive! Humans can easily fall into her trap. This is something quite different from your usual poems.

I think I was just testing myself a little bit. I had been reading some poetry from one of the masters and thought, I could do that, if I wanted -- so I just gave it try. Pleased with the results...but not my usual style as you say. A good exercise in expression though. A fun experiment. Thank you, Valsa.

A fantasy poem. So sensuous, Joe. And you can hope she is also a nympho!
