Praise Lord a Second
Glistening snow sets the Christmas-like mood
Sleigh bell magic, happy hearts, who could brood?
Children take off their gloves to make snowballs
Boisterous songs, full community halls
Magic sugar rolled into Christmas dough.
A winter kick off wherever we go
Grandma’s memories, coming clear today
We wish Nana’s sweet mind could somehow stay.
Warm hot cookies, shaped as Bethlehem’s star,
Praise Lord a second, wherever you are.
Hot from the kitchen, where our children laugh,
Christmas month, our school time cut in half,
Such a joyful holiday, people good.
One magical month, acting as they should.
