Shadows of Summer
clouds shadow
the back yard
like dreams
endings and beginnings
whispers of
a cool breeze
outside my door
the neighbors are gone
a moment savored
reflections
of my many lives
visions
of friends I’ve known
time is a river
an ever-flowing stream
