Shadows

Shadows Written: by Tom Wright 10-25-2016 Ghosts of previous years defy escape, Emotionally swaddled in a bullet proof vest I sit in the corner of my mind as if abducted. In this abbreviated state I wander twixt reality, And dreams of my subconscious; While roaming through shadows of past times I’m plagued by things, unworthy of remembering, And disarray dominates my innermost thoughts. Within this dream I confront empty faces, And unattached voices, whispering, remember me? All faces of a past previously forgotten.
