Serenity
Time passes as I watch the motion of life interact,
this silent paring of two life forms
carries me on a journey, one that allows yesterdays
to spread across the plains of my memories
so I may forage for moments
I've made timeless
where serenity will fall upon me
like blades of grass falling to the ground
from the mouth of a deer
as it pauses to chew on life
my mind wanders through the instrument of my reflections
so I can see these memories pass through time
becoming smaller
as they float away like distant birds
to the horizon of my mind's experience
amazed at the simplicity of it all
