September Swings

September swings from autumn to spring Her rippled cool pools of serene green To russet sunsets on orange wings Berry buds glazed in apricot sheen From autumn to spring, september swings 09/21/22 N/A in Bite Sized Poem #52 contest by Line Gauthier Judged 10/06/22 Entered in X'd Poems Second Chance contest Sponsor: Constance La France

Yes, a global perspective. For many years ... My September 11th birthday could not be celebrated by me when in 2001, my world died as America's innocence did. Terror coddled in "religious hearts," failed to remove AMERICA'S varied colors, Fall festivals, & spirit that overcomes. Shalom Sis, shalom

Michelle, grandeur resounds throughout your verse. I adore the several tones of calm green, and your poem encompasses every one of those tones here. In addition, your insights are quite perceptive. Thanks for dropping a comment on my page and Good luck with the contest.

Love the cool, crisp vibe to this, the line russet sunsets on orange wings, and the way you inverted the first line to make the last line (like a swing coming back to its starting place). My September really swings when I put on my Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington CDs! Happy Fall, my artistry sib ~ John
