Worn limbs creak like tomb's ancient doors
Jumping from youth to old age with lightning's shock
Kind mirrors with mounting dust blur lines
Leaping into my shopping cart are restorative skin creams
Before gremlins make off with them, memories visit briefly
…What was it I was trying to say?

Hi Carolyn, aging doesn't come easily. I am sure that you shall age gracefully, myself, I am already a dying duck. We are as old as we feel, therefore, I shall always be young. Love the content. I am rather remiss. Congratulations on your win in the contest. A wonderful write. have a wonderful Saturday. Hugs....Mike. XX

wow, I LOVe this (probably because I relate it so well) My only suggestion is that you change the title. I think you did such a good job describing this, you could have used a symbolic title that did not tell the emotion . Awesome writing, sweetie.

Reads like a good contender for the contest. Age has a way of taking its toll. It is worse on some than others. Thanks for dropping by with congrats on my placement in your contest and thanks for the honor of being there. Sara

Your use of the objects in the environment of the poem to convey the feeling is absolutely ingenious -- you make beauty and grace of expression seem easy! I love your poetry!

That is so true, Tom. If I knew in youth what I know now, a lot of the choices made would have been different. Thanks for reading!
