Time seems to go much faster as we age;
so many older friends seem to agree.
Why does this happen at our senior stage?
In younger years, when off to work we'd flee,
our time would slow- and going home, pined for;
so many older friends seem to agree.
Vacation days, spent often at the shore;
short spans back then were ample lengths of time;
our time would slow- and going home, pined for.
But now, our days fly fast! It is a crime!
Now mornings come- so soon the nights befall-
short spans back then were ample lengths of time.
Back then, the stretch of five years seemed to stall;
the markers for longtime- were far away.
Now mornings come, so soon the nights befall.
Not many blocks of five years left! Each day,
time seems to go much faster as we age-
the markers for longtime- were far away.
Why does this happen at our senior stage?
