A very deep tanka, Andrea. Anorexia is really a cry for help from a lost soul.

A sad truth which the person really has no control of...it's great to know there are now ways to address this issue. Wonderful tanka, Andie.

I can identify. I was a fat kid and told so by my brother and others. The image is slow to leave. Though your measurements are good to great, you still see yourself as fat This is damaging to social relations. I will try to stay in touch. A big hug, daver

Anorexia is a terrible illness indeed, and so hard to fight those voices that keep telling the persona , He /She is fat.. An excellent tanka dear Andrea.

This poem tells an all - too - common sad tale. I noticed you were careful in your use of syllables for this tanka. Good luck in the contest! Peace & Love Matthew Anish
