See Me

Please! I need somebody, anybody; just help me! I am ignored by bystanders and people of indifference. Can you not see a mass of dismay and questions in my eyes? I beg of you, please don't look away as if I do not matter. Look at me and see the pain of shame and the shock in my eyes. My hands are covering my nose and mouth; but surely you can hear my cry, "Oh my, I am overwhelmed; it takes my breath away". My pain is the pain of an abstracted, confused, and discolored one.
