Sea of Green and Blue
The wind is whispering to the trees,
Their rustling leaves reply.
Warmth still lingers in the breeze.
Tall grasses gently sway with a sigh.
The autumn sky is bright and clear.
Lacey white clouds are few.
A sailboat with colorful flags draws near.
Drifting in the sea of green and blue.
The beach, now almost empty.
There are no umbrellas in the sand.
Coastline to roam, now plenty.
A couple strolls lazily hand in hand.
The beach is beautiful, come fall.
The ocean, always the same.
The dune brush has grown tall.
Remaining wild, never to tame.
Burnished golden days ahead.
The sea and sun, reflect the glow.
Scattered leaves of orange and red,
find their way into the evening shadow.
