I did bake a batch of scones yesterday - I read hubby my poem AFTER he had eaten them

I made some scones – the best you’ve ever seen Make dough - perfect to keep your fingernails clean!!! Note to hubby - I used a nailbrush BEFORE I baked yesterday lol Contest:- Epigram Sponsor:- Silent One 22nd November 2015

Congrats, Jan. I am leaving soon and wish I had time to visit more of my friends' wonderful poems. Doing my best under the circumstances and still some little things to do today. I'll miss you!

Bob laughed so much when I read this to him - he still ate 4 of them - mum tells a story of when I was very tiny and I made pastry which was 'grey' in colour and made Jam tarts and gave them to the lads next door lol - I have come a long way with my cooking since then lol:-) hugs Jan xx

from the picture , these are NOTHING like Utah's wonderful scones. I mean, these look good, but you ought to taste the ones here. They are fried and very soft inside. Melt in your mouth rolled in powdered sugar and eaten with honey butter.

They sound more like a doughnut to me - scones are traditionally English served in an afternoon tea - they usually have clotted cream and strawberry Jam as in the pciture:-) hugs jan xx
